Wow! Purrrrfurrrrfect! How did you get the fur effect? Is that a plug in? Our poor, poor children. They become the unknowing subjects of our digital manipulations. Pixelatory abuse -- Freud would have a hey-day... :-)

Damn... this is sooooooo good. The look is, indeed, feral. The bleached, dagger-like blades of grass over her left eye really seal the deal for me. Spooky perfection. --Jim

Great PS work Peta. Your ps skills are becoming second to none. Excellent job. Not a photo that would usually catch my interest - you know me I like cute, sweet and dreamy; but I had to comment on the ps work you did here - simply excellent.

I almost like the original more than the edits, which really says more about the "real" photo than the montage ;-) The very realistic eyes both help you and detract depending on what you want to accomplish with the image IMHO. I think you chose really nice tones for the composite.

Wow, Peta, what a beautiful make-up job! And your photos, both the original and the composite/modified, are fantastic. The stripes in her eyes must be reflections? I see you used both your cameras for this picture. Very beautiful.

Thank you all for the wonderful response, I appreciate your thoughts so much!
Is that what was stuck in her teeth John!

In the light of night I saw I could do more, maybe I shouldn't! ;)
I could make versions up the ying yang...so I added one more of my photographed textures and thought this gave a richer image.

Here kitty kitty...

The cat-like eyes are what caught me, terrific job. As pepe le pew would say... le meow, le purr.

Peta; you are really getting good at this sort of thing-- very creative and well done. I like Patricia E's comments on this one-- reminds me of the Wizard of OZ lion too. This is both cool and also scary-- hope you and family had a good halloween. Cheers. Craig

I think this is the one that ate our kitten! Thanks for the explanation.....now I don't have to go crazy trying to figure who you've got hidden in this one! Great, Peta!!

Belongs in the Wizard of Oz -- cowardly lion with attitude... You did a great job with this Peta!

My oldest daughter painted her face for Halloween. She was originally going to be a fox, but the face putty she purchased to build a foxlike nose would not stick on her face! So she became more catlike.

Then I got hold of the photo(which i've attached, and here is the result.
She loves how it turned out and named it.
