Carsten this is another lovely vista...of course I like the clouds and the lighting is beautiful, the depth you've created with the layering of the clouds is wonderful. Love the blues and golds, great complementary colors, and again the huge expanse is excellent, love the lines in the field leading the eye to the vanishing point, and your stitching is seamless, I looked hard and cannot tell where you did it, very nice work...:):)Linda

Haymaking (III) continues the high standards you?ve set Carsten. You?ve cornered the territory - the WOW landscapes are yours and yours alone! The educated detailed technique always a treat, always generous?! Fine, fine work!

Very dramatic landscape, great work, beatiful colours. I had also a look at the photos you made during my holyday, they are splendid.
For this one I should prefer a rectangle and eliminate a few cm of the bottom, I think that would make the composition better.

Peter, thanks for stopping by (and excuse the delayed response, quite busy after my holidays now...).
I found tips on layers for landscape on luminous-landscape.com ("understanding digital blending" section), there are many other sites with free info on the net but this is quite comprehensive and understandable.
With "multiply blended" layer mask I just mean the blending mode, here multiply. A composite, with a layer mask other than normal blending mode. My preferred blending modes are multiply and soft light, opacity 10 to50%.
Cheers
Carsten

Wow, you're a master a this kind of photos, really envious on this one, so brilliantly finished .. Peter
Where does one find tips on this kind of finishing with layers ? I understand the layers principle, and that the mode was "multiply", but what do you mean with blended ?
Regards, Peter

Well Carsten, if you're still on your learning curve for your "digital darkroom" skills, you surely can't have far to go. Nicely stitched together.

Great DOF here, a nice balance of colours, and great lighting in the cloud formations.

Wayne, you have been in Germany ? Great. This plane is actually not so large, the superwide FOV makes it look sooo large.
Cheers

You've obviously spent some time on this one and the results are certainly worth it.

I didn't realise there was anywhere in Germany this flat - looks like Australia !

Very nice one. Has a very nice warm summer-feeling. The sky is very dramatic, as always :) (which I like!)
Personally I think the dark cloud in the upper left corner is a little too dark for the overall daylight feeling of the scene.

That neat... here in the southwest we are clear sky about 90%+(avg 7" rain a year) except in late July August there are monsoons mostly in the mountains around us ( live in the desert valley) so I'm collecting clouds for later (:-))
Pixmaker works fine tnx again

Don, more than 50% of the time we have clouds here, fantastic conditions for landscapes ;-)
Thanks for your comment !

Hallo Neil - danke fürs vorbeischauen ! Klar, viel dodge and burn...

Neil
