wow. I was travelling across continents and just checked my mails.. and saw this... thanks..
anyway, as I was saying to Deb. I am kind of ok with the grains (since I still feel digital can't beat film.. hence like the film 'look'.. call me whatever you want to). The square format also I will disagree with you in this particualr case.. this photo begs for a landscape format (in my humble opinion), so I would fight for it till my breath lasts :):) ..
as for lens choice, this was indeed shot on a ultra-wide (17-40L on a 5d).. only the 3-5 sec exposure would not have been possible since this was shot while I was ON the boat.. in the middle of the river..

Can't you both see my rework as a 16" X 16" with 3" White Matte and Black Anodized Aluminum Framing against Ultra White Painted Walls to really bring it all out?
Thanks to the 'Author' of this image for allowing me to greatly enjoy its potential with Interior Decorating Skills although I am primarily a Real Estate Photographer shooting Multi-Million Dollar Residences, etc. ...

Because you already have a current image in the Critiquer's Corner I am going to invite myself anyway to this one also because I know it will end up there too ... Right?
First comment ... I love Nocturnals especially at the 'Golden Hour' or slightly thereafter!
Now (especially if you are sitting down:)) please forgive me in advance if I perhaps burst anyone's bubble or sink their ship including yours with my commentary ... Okay?
Let us continue if I may:
First Check Immediately: Horizon leveled and contrast lightened. How are we doing so far and you must admit that is pretty much Photography 101 ... Right?
I do not like the noise or grain so it has been smoothed out to be more placid. Are you peacefully with me?
Now for composition: I like how the bottom of the superstructure goes straight up into the upper left corner (almost) and who could not notice that ... ?!?!?!
But ... I am going to tweak it into a square format via a 'Bi-Cubicle Squeeze and do you know why? For architecural enhancement without any Barrel Distortion because this scene should really have been shot with a 10mm-20mm or so Super-Wide closeup at a Bulb Exposure of only 3 - 5 Seconds instead of the ISO you chose imhpo, (In My Humble Professional Opinion).
For the 'Finale' ... Why not a simple 'Presentation Border' as I have chosen with a final touch of 'Clarification' to finish it all off?

tobe, ekta technical proshno nijer jana-r jonno korchi: left-er dark area-ta ki ichche kore-i ektu beshi rekhecho? daan-dik-er vignette-ta tulona-e ektu kom.
