very nice shot marcus. i'm just wondering if you used neat image to remove some noise in this photo? if so, it seems to me that you didnt need to, the background would appear to be fine on its own....
warmest regards ~ james

Thanks Marcus,
I figure so many people put so much time and effort into their images, the least we can do is try and come up with a meaningful comment. They say every picture is worth a thousand words. There are many photos here worth a lot more than a thousand words!

"Kind of liked the effect". You are so unassuming Marcus. This is bloody SENSTIONAL. I always admire your work, you know that, but this one is so incredible I kind find words to say about it. Suffice to say it's going to my fav Faves.

Thanks Marcus,
You are right about the Terns. They have a little bit of a pattern to their flight, but they seem to come out of nowhere sometimes. I'll give it a shot anyway.

Marcus Armani Marcus Armani   {K:36599} 7/29/2005
yea of everything I said, the most important thing you need to do is pan smooth, but I mean that is the most important to get the camera going the same exact speed of the bird, terns are very hard to practive on cuz they dont fly straight, they zig zag all over, but if you can shoot them, you can shoot just about anything .....
good luck.....

Hi Marcus,
Amazing how you always get the details of the bird underneath, as well as backlighting. A lot of times, when I try this all I get is a black bird shape :)
Where I'm going tonight, there are some Terns flying around, I'll have to practice on them.
Any tips to share other than what you have already written?
Andre

Superb. I love the foliage colour in the background. I find it more appealing than the sky or water. I would love to see more of this kind of setup.
