I'm fascinated with Flamingos, because they nest in my homeland (Cagliari - Sardinia), and the few photos I've made costed me so much in terms of patience, that since then, Marcus, I admire twice your pictures ... for your patience and stamina also. Regards form Italy.

I remember hawks not so different than this lovely fellow grabbing the chicken right out of our hands (and taking a little of our skin with it) while having a picnic lunch on safari in Tazania. We had laughed at all the people eating under their vehicles when we first pulled in to the stop.

WOnderful detail Marcus - it made me smile - the title is looking for lunch, and the upload next to it is a duck that looks like it is flying for it's life. It makes amazing viewing. They are both excellent shots and love the colours in the duck shot

Why am I not surprised of the quality of this shot. Perfect clarity. I know that equipment has little to do with taking great pictures. Do you like your 20D? Looks like a very solid performer. All the best. Art

Thanks steve your comments are always especially appreciated, I am having a problem with sharpening, as I posted this shot on CPC before sharpening and got a bunch of "its too soft" and i applied a light sharpening and now I can notice as you did, its a bit too sharp...
Its driving me nuts....
Thanks again....

Hey Marcus -

You are simply the master of the birds :) - the photography - as usual- needs no comment - you certainly set the benchmark on UF for bird photography.

A *little* too sharp around the edged (esp tail and right (lower) wing) distracts me slightly and makes it stand out that the bg 'may have been altered' - other than that - the sky itself looks very natural.

Hey - saw your pic of you and your R6 on another page somewhere - nice machine. R1 motor? - must be insane! :)

all the best...

Steve
