Molto bella questa ripresa, sopratutto il momento colto. Bravo. L'unica cosa che mi convince poco č quell'alone bianco tra l'ala ed il cielo, sopratutto nella parte bassa dell'immagine

Ciao

Thanks Den, I think we all miss nice photos here and there, I try to get to them when I have the time, usually when I post a shot. I am more then happy you added me as a friend, I will do so also, as I have missed a few of your nice shots too.. This guy was about 50 feet away on a branch, I took a few shots as I steped closer knowing the 20S's shutter always does the trick, then I shot a full 20 frame burst....
Take care....

Marcus, I've realised I've missed a number of your shots over the last few days so to overcome that problem I'm adding you to my Friends list. I have the greatest admiration for your work and you give me something to chase after, although I'm way behind.
This shot of a Harrier has me speechless. The detail is something else. Was he very close to you? My greatest compliments.
Den

Your Avian photos are very good Marcus. Do you shoot from a hide or as as you find them? Either way they are spectacular. I particularly like the Egrets and wading birds. Regards John

I have only seen examples of it being used by other people and it does look more realistic when the background is a messy one, not really an issue with the image above. It can be found just in the normal filter menu of Photoshop CS....Filter>Blur>Lens Blur, there is a tutorial in the help on how to use it but it's a bit involved! Happy blurring.

It is not a 3rd party blur tool, its a new tool added to Photoshop CS, but its more difficult to use, there is a tutorial but it puzzle's me.

I used PS Gaus Blur on a layer then erased the bird as to get back the original detail, I didnt know there was a 3rd party blur tool, who makes it?

Superb action shot Marcus, the shapness and detail are just superb. Did you use the new lens blur in Photoshop CS to blur the background or just one of the regular ones? Id like to know because I can never get it right!!

Thanks in advance.

Hi Marcus,
this is a fantactic wildlife shot, great natural colors and wonderful details (maybe a lillte less sharpening would be a good idea IMO)It takes a lot of patience and good eyes and reaction to take pictures like this. Admirable photographic work.
I also enjoy looking at all your other pictures.
Keep up the good work and help to protect nature.
Best regards,
Gustav

Thanks Luis, we too have had many Turkey vultures or buzzers around, They are very hard to capture as they fly so high, and very hard to expose as they are so dark....

Congatulatios Marcus. Here in the east weve been invaded by what we call "turkey buzzards". They are huge and slow flyers and I haven't been able to get a good image...so I appreciate what I see here.
