About The afternoon sun burnishing the result of back to back snowfalls amounting to about 45cm (18in)of snow! The reason, along with other family commitments, I haven't been too active here lately. I'm getting to the comments, though!

the lighting conditions at the sunset gives a nice warm tone to the snow, and that is a good element on that wonderfull kind of tree...very nice with snow, looks like almost an...Xmas tree...needs only some reds on it! :-D
Be well!

Wonderful snow shot, Dave. The color is very unusual and effective. We had a couple back to back snow storms the last couple days and have 14 inches on the ground. I haven't gotten out to do anything but move it :-( Best wishes, Larry

Oh my!!! I'd be going nuts! It's been 70 degrees here the past few days & I'm loving it! And yet with the nice weather, seems like people go out & do some of the craziest things & keep me hopping. This is a great photo. I'd put it on a Christmas card! Flocked trees. Dottie

I've heard about yellow snow, but I don't think this is what they were talking about. This is gorgeous. I'm filled with snow envy.

I love seeing fir trees snow covered like this Dave. The fading afternoon sun has given them an almost sepia tone. That coupled with the blue skyis an amzing result. Well done.

A real postcard image here, Dave. Very well composed and presented. We're expecting our first significant snow Wed. Maybe there will be a picture or two hiding out there.

A beautiful photo, Dave. It remind me of the pyramids in Giza.
Thank you for you comprehensive comments on my "Unopened Israeli champagne", my "Israeli chapagne in German made glass" and my "Champagne glass and reflections." As you see, the champagne was not wasted.

I've only oce seen that amount of snow - when I was working in Austria/Hungary in December 1995 and about 18in fell overnight!

It's quite awesome to see especially when we are lucky if we see anything more than a couple of inches in a year.

I suspect there are more snow pics out there (assuming it doesn't create trvelling chaos - like an inch or two here does!)
