About A few minutes before my last post, I got this chickadee. Unfortunately I had the SR turned off inadvertently, so it's not as sharp as it could be.

Dave, how are you getting such close up shots with a 300 mm. I have a 400 mm and the shots still seem so far away. Are you right on top of the birds when you take the pictures. Seems like birds a so timid and take flight when you try to get close. What's your secret.

What a beautiful pose for you to have captured my dear Dave. This delightful little bird looks just wonderful with it's little head cocked to one side as it considers whether you area threat or not. An excellent quick shot as they never give a second chance. Well done to you my friend. My very best wishes to you as always......ray

Absolutley beautiful Dave, razor sharp in the face and eye to give it life, and the color and composition are beautiful. Well done! Very very nice...

Plenty sharp enough where it should be Dave. The eye and beak are dead on sharp and the whole image looks very natural. Great pose from the little guy too.

Unusual, fresh and as vivid as one might expect for an image of wild life, Dave! The details on the head/face of the chickadee are just about marvelous and the most of its rest parts appear in such a good focus too. The DoF did excluede some small parts of your main subject but in such a case it doesnt't matter at all. The way the major part of the bird was captured with all their fine details in front of the softened out background surely conveys clearly the whole atmosphere as the bird experiences it. I think that the plentitude of geen color speaks for that too, as the brilliant timing also does.

Extremely natural, this is how I would call it. Yes, there are some small things about focus here and there that could be done better, but I can't see why they should matter in such a case.

Still nice and the blur of the background is really nice. Even a little catch light in the eye.
Be well, stan
