Hi Thilo, very nice and original work, the yellow color provides continuation between the images,,it is very dynamic and has many stories inside.. i think there is a great potential in this idea to be a great serie.. ;) regards Baki

Dear Elisa,
thanks a lot for your creative & honest words ;-)
I would love to make these pictures again in the same lighting would this wasn't possible that day (unfortunately).
Take care, Thilo

hey bro!
appreciate your comment. to be honest, the quadratic looks wasn't my first choice (although I had the general idea in mind to present the waiting people in a composing while I shot them). but a horizontal composing would be very small in height and therefore not very attractive with the limitations of UF.
the framing is a weak point in my composing, you're right on that one.
thx for the honest words, t-bro

Hi Uwe,
was ist schon objektiv? =)

Hi Thilo! The woman in the UL is waiting for her man, the man in the UR is waiting for her woman, the couple are waiting for their child, and the family is waiting for their child to grow ;-)
And I?m waiting for your reply ... ;-) Thanks for an interesting collage! (I do wish they were all taken in the same lighting conditions!)

Hi Hugo,
first of all: thanks for the lenghty and honest feedback. this is something unique for your community work. you show a consistent interest to be constructive. appreciate that a lot.
as for the image in the lower right: to be honest, I can't tell you if it's made on a different day. My guess is: No, as we moved through the Canale Grande just for one day (but it was a long one) =) The image in the lower left is a digital one (this just as a side note).
I agree with you on the light frame, should be more bold.
as for the composing: It was a hard time for me to juggle around with four different pictures. I'm not used to these kind of projects ;-) I came up with this solution with the honest hope to attract some statements. not too sure if I succeeded =)
thanks for being one of the few who were brave enough =)

Mmmmhmm!!! I like the idea, but somehow I'm distracted by all these strong lines in the way you presented them. Why don't you put them in a row; I think this would be a big improvement. The grey is well choosen, but I think you need a stronger division. What about the red from the upper left image and add some red background, too. Just my two cents, though! C.

...the beginning of life?

It is visually complex and a little confusing to me. I like the reflections of the city. Maybe like Hugo, I am looking for a story, but nothing obvious leaps out at me.

Hi Thilo, very creative work with the quadriptych; I like the various angles of the same theme, very creative work, and a bgood idea.
I wonder why the tone in the lower right corner differs from the rest; it makes it stand out more, but on the other hand, it reduces the consistency of the presentation.
If that choice was made to let that photo attract most of the attention, I'd say the lower left shot would qualify more. Looking at the four shots, I think the real reason was that you took that one on a different day, under a different lighting situation.
As to the presentation, I think the grey frame works well, but I think a bit wider outer rim would make it less minute,if you know what I mean.
On a different (less nitpicky) note, I like the change of themes, and the way you show us different views of the same subject (waiting for the water taxi, I guess, but that would be too realistic. I'd like to search for something more profound, like waiting for a coincidence. ( a bit lame, I admit)
Anyhow, I could sumarise this lenghy comment in only a few words: Very good shot, and very creative work.
Cheers,
Hugo

Excellent sharp images Thilo... The combine very well in the collage... The lines have simetry withing the whole composition... Excellent waitng scenes... different people, all with different life, and one wonders if their paths had ever or will ever cross... What are they waiting for... in life???? What are the thinking??? What dramas are the living?
Great!!!!! I love it Thilo!!!!
Cheer,
MaLuisa
