About Hope you don't get bored by my little architecture series ;-)
Yeah, Crysler again. But this time I decided to give the building the look I would love to have. Hope you won't get scared by the perspective.

Comments are appreciated a lot.

I removed most of the grain - what's left is absolutely okay for me, and it meets its' purpose.

Wow! I've seen many pictures of this building, but this is definitely one of the best. Architecture pictures are my favorite. (7)

Agree with Hugo. This has a beautiful illustrative look. Wonderful.

No suggestions for improvement.

Dear Hugo,

thanks for the in-depth-analysis. you mentioned the tilt, and there is for sure more geometrical/perspective potential in that subject. unfortunately, the street around crysler doesn't allow you a lot of variations. it's the best to shoot crysler from a point above the street level. but I didn't find any appropriate at that time ;-)

take care, Thilo

Hi Thilo, I'll never get bored with this kind of shots. They always present the viwer with something interesting. There are primarily three things that make this shot different from the others:

The deliberate tilt in the image
The filled composition
The tone, with the halo behind the Crysler building.

The Duotone image creates a rather dated atmosphere, whereas the tilt and the quite filled composition emphasise the height of the image, and the perspective.

I like the angle of view on the building too, but that could've been a tad stronger f you'd moved more to the right.

Other than that a fine shot, well captured, and very good postprocessing.

Cheers,

Hugo

never get bored by pics like this....um es mal allgemeinverständlich auszudrücken....;-)

ist doch mal wieder sehr gelungen das, und fast könnte man eine gewisse symbolik bezüglich chrysler in die schräge des gebäudes interpretieren....

Dear Roby,

great to have such support from you and the other UF members. This gives me a lot of motivation - and inspiration from the great works of every photographer here.

Take care (and don't worry about your scarce time to respond), Thilo

How can someone be bored with results like this. I love the Chrysler building and what you've done with it.
