About I like the curves of the path and the pond curling in from left and right. It has a nice balance that seems more dynamic than static.

I do not agree with any of these peole's comments: In my opinion the photo looks very natural...where is the wash-out sky? It isn't white,it's light blue. Also, your meter or whichever intervention you decided to make on the exposure handled beautifully both the highlights which are not burned and the shadows which show all the details.
It was indeed a difficult lighting that you have handled greatly without any retouch.I love the dynamics of the frame and the rich colors and texture.
p.s. No,Roger,I don't have this option you were talking about and spent the last hour and the half searching for your answer which I couldn't find. What the friends on my list do is pick another shot of mine and attach the reply,so that it gets to me immediately by mail. Sorry if I've been disturbing you,but I'm really interested in your photography and I'd like to learn from you, warm regards, Antonella

Roger, this a very lucky, well done composition which says "you, come here and walk along this path too just to see what a peaceful place it is here" !!
The colours : This is a japanese park somewhere in JAPAN, and so far it is JAPANESE light shining on this park in a way it mostly shines there as I assume. Or at least a kind of light you found to be worth while to catch with the camera.
Didn't you once say that you want to photograph the things as they really ARE ? You are right.
That means the light belongs to the place and correcting it with PS VX.X would mean you destroy the photograph. If you are lucky there is some "graphic art" left at the end.So far about my standpoint about "What is photography"
Keep them coming, the washed outs ones under the japanese sky !

Roger,

Ohh I like this one, the snaking path, the changes in texture, light and shade. Very nice indeed. The sky has let you down again, with the blandness, but theres not a lot you can do about that really.

Good work

Looks like the Seattle Japanes Garden fired you imagination ;-)

I love the meandering lines too. Would a polarizing filter have helped with the sky?

A very interesting shot. Think it looks a little washed out. PS7 could easily put this right turning this into a great image.

pretty much the same thing as the first one, nice composition, just bad luck with lighting
