Terrific composition with the angle that focuses your initial attentions on the boots, but then the lacing pulls the eye to her face too. The lighting is a little darker than some of your other portraits, but you may have done that on purpose.

Peta, you really excell in portraits and especially those that are slightly different from the norm, this is stunning, I feel you should be a proffessional photographer with quality like this. The dof has been handled incredibly well and the unusual angle really captures the boots and leads your eye into the picture. Well done - Richard.

Cool take Peta! It's a pleasure critiquing your photos because they're all good, and this one is no exception. The subject is really nice, and the sepia toning works well here too. Putting the boots in the foreground like you did is well done.

This is a nice portrait, with an unusual but pleasant model's position, I like her expression, her dress and her boots of course!! The lighting and the soft shadows are excellent, the sepia toning adds a particular touch. Bye Max
PS: you are right about the 2100, I bought it for the 10X zoom, but I noticed that it has semi-pro characteristics, it's a pity only for the 2,1 Mp CCD, you made the best choice with the 5050!! ;)

Great composition, well thought out. The unconventional close cropping on top serves perfectly here to draw one's eye to the center of the composition (and very nice boots they are) but then inevitably back to that beautiful face. Toning and light perfectly match the character of the boots. VERY well done!

Now thats one hell of a set of boots! They put our Ugg boots to shame. Those boots were made for walking. Love the soft outer glow and the way the light cuts across her face, hand and knee, could be a tad less hot but another remarkable shot.
