BIP....Says it all. Very colorful. I really like the border and writing color you have here too. How do you make the shadow box on images in PS? Any suggestions would be great. Very nice image and congratulations on the BIP buddy.

Thanks Elisa! Fix the BG as well as . . . uhhhh . . . what? In truth, I would have preferrred a BG of ferns and a waterfall . . . but you get what you get. I set for a shallow DOF to blur the people but don't know what else I could do . . . you know . . . without it becoming a little . . . shall we say . . . uhhhh . . . fake-ish?
Anyway, I do see the point about the distraction it just doesn't seem to bother me as much. Perhaps, since we raise birds, some pull down backdrops with appropriate scenery and studio style shots would be cool . . . now see? Ya got me thinking! :)

80 YEARS?! (Alright, stop shouting John...)
This is really very nice. Wonderful colours, great detail offset against an unobtrusive background.
Ah ha, but you've CC'd it (as though I wouldn't go for it anyway!) So, perhaps the background could be even more unobtrusive - that man in glasses at the back on the right is still just about discernable. And the macaw appears perhaps just a tad two dimensional - could he perhaps turn a touch towards the camera? Hey, I'm struggling here, but I can't let you get away scott-free!

A wonderful capture with great use of Dof to bring him out of the shot. He is stunning Doyle. His colours are so vibrant and strong. such a beautiful creature and the detail you have captured in his feathers is excellent.

It's amazing that these birds have such a long life span. They are beautiful to look at with the colors of their feathers. I'm sure they are also hard to part with when they are sold.
