About Couldn't pick which of the two shots I liked best . . . and I don't have too! I tried a close crop here and - using PS - Blurred and changed the hue of the remaining background hopefully to force attention onto the subject of the composition. See why I like both?

It is surely a hard job choosing from between these shots dear Doyle.. afterall I think is better not to choose .. just like you. In both I like her beautiful pose and the wonderful colors ... Good hue chage of the background it certainly does force attention onto the subject.. Great work..

My best regards,
aLi

I can see and appreciate the difficulty in choosing between the shots Doyle. All have equal merit as all are of superfine quality. Now I love the tight crop to this one and I adore the beautiful expression on Cyd's face with greater details to those lovely eyes of hers. Again, the same great colours. We the viewers have benefited from your inability to choose one shot 'cos we have been allowed to see all three. Well done to you Doyle....great shooting. All the best.....Ray

Thanks Lori! This stunning beauty is my granddaughter! The Sun Conure, named Yankee, was handfed (bet you're not suprised) and is incredibly tame and quiet. Normally I would agree about the screaming conures . . .
I tried out the bold crop because I thought it would emphasize that bold smile of Cydney's!

HI Doyle,

This is such an adorable photograph! Happy eyes on this little girl (your daughter?) and one of my favorit birds, the Sun Conure. (love them but they are so noisy!)

I like this crop a lot,
really good job!!

Klaas:
Thanks for the honest feedback . . . you're right, one likes what one likes. Clearly a preference for some--may not be wrong for others--since that is the nature of art. I agree that her smile is nice . . . of course. This forum is the right place to try out new things . . . and that's what I'm doing . . . so I really do appreciate your comments.

Regards,
Doyle I <-----

I like her lovely smile on both ones, but i don't like the tight crop on this one. From my opinion.... i like a little bit of more space on both sides here Doyle, i hope you'll agree. Her happy face in the other one, with space arround her, that's what i prefer. But who am I???
Take care,

Klaas
