About A tulip reveals all after all its petals have gone.

+++

This was a total nightmare to process. At f/45 every last spot of dust in the sensor was showing up!

Overtime with the clone tool to erase the spots.

Other than that, just a curve to boost contrast slightly, resize and sharpen.

Brenda,

I am very gentle and did not rip any petals. She took them off herself, in a nice strip-tease. I uploaded a photo of that, too ;)

Very cool macro shot!!! It's nekkid!!! Hope you kept the petals after you ripped it's clothes off! I think this image was well worth the effort you spent in PS. I agree with Judith about the black and white and I also wonder how it would look in Sepia!? :)

Jeanette, I thought exactly the same thing and was wondering who was the next person to show a dirty mind and make a comment about it. You're it! :))

I was going to call this one "flower porn" but thought I'd be more subtle with the title, at least...

Hi Angelo...first, I converted your image to grayscale in Photoshop, then into a monochrome, using Pantone 1205CVC. A little tonal adjustment in PS, and voila!

It's a gorgeous image, Angelo; very ethereal. Beautiful capture.

Wnderful close up work Angelo. The detail is excellent and the soft tones and delicacy of the central portions have been very well preserved. Excellent work

I hate dusts in the sensors, hopefully in the future they would resolve such a problem, It is always not to bad to have a dust point in an area that can be cloned, but the real problem when the sensor gets really dusty with many dots and lines.
Very nice series Angelo, I am really enjoying the beauty of the tulips through your lens, I bet the florist loves you buy now :)
Excellent clarity my friend, I really like the shot, very well done,
Regards,

Very well done macro Angelo..the details and clarity are awesome, and it looks like a perfect exposure too, a fine line with that white or off white color...good job, personally I don't mind the colors, I think Petals suggestion of the beige might be a nice idea though, would make a lovely contrast..but overall Angelo I think you did a great job with this..and the title is brilliant...very fitting...well done...:):)Linda

Thank you, Judith!

Could you tell me what steps you took to get this monochrome version? I guess it is toned in some way. I appreciate your time: thanks again!

Wow!

Nicely captured ...looks like an aliens head...I can realize this one was a tough subject to capture as it has both dark tones and diffusive surface with the white to be captured...in my personal experience this kind of subject is very tricky as you always run the chance of either over exposing the white or underexposing the dark tones loosing fine details in both situations...
But in your case..definatively well done...congrats and by the way Happy friendship Day!

Perfect title. Looks like a space docking station. :-) I like the robin egg blue background, makes the shot airy and
complements the other colors well. bw version looks good too. Angelo, Was this really for 15 secs?

Oops caught... ;-D!!! I left that one out because I don't know.... been thinking about it ever since I posted that comment but.... maybe a kind of beige... sort of 'ton sure ton' effect...

Great macro!!! Excellent clarity and detail, neat idea, good composition.... but I'm thinking: different crop...??!! And different color... background that is, I don't know why but the light blue doesn't do it for me....
