About Otherwise known as "digital, eat your heart out" because I don't think it could have combined the deep shadow under the monorail with the bright sunshine behond it.

A concrete jungle but I like the fact that people walk and that there is no loud road next to the buildings. An unusual sight for most of US. Do you use polarizers Roger? I'm wondering if one would have helped darken the sky a little bit for better cloud definition. Very good composition with the elevated rail and pedestrian walkway leading the eye.

I love the scene with the bicycles.. and the monorail seems so cold and monstrous..great contrast, nicely captured...

The monorail is only a few years old, Matej, but public buildings are not very well maintained here and soon get grimy. It was the contrast with the low-tech bicycles that first drew my eye. I agree that a small rotation (and then corrected verticals) would improve this. Thanks for the comment. Now I know someone is actually watching I'll be more careful!

I'm not sure whether it's the worn look of the monorail piers or the mass of (non-futuristic) bicycles, but somehow this scene does not strike me as very modern - or at least not as modern as some of the architecture in the other photos in this series (which seems to be coming along very nicely).

In 'Modern Tokyo I', I had a feeling the buildings were leaning to the right; here, I think the world is tilted to the left (with the piers and the horizon as the determining factors), and that a small rotation would help.

You pulled this one off remarkably well Roger, considering the difficult lighting situation! I love the high angle and perspective!

The people in this really helps put the size of the structures into perspective. Wonderful composition.
