The detail in this shot is quite amazing. You can't see the tenth of it at this resolution, alas. And if you look VERY carefully, you may be able to see the Golden Gate bridge of the title!
I've just fitted a new graphics card and haven't yet set the gamma correctly, but this shot almost looks as though the sky is blown. I hope its my settings and not the photo.
Any way, as for the other elements of the photo, I think I would have liked to see more of the city and less of the sky, however I know the golden rule is keeping the camera perfectly level. I imagine it would have been very difficult to get a different viewpoint.
I must admit I've never seen a shot of the GGB from this angle either, it is rather unusual.
You're right, Roger! Fabulous detail! Any chance of e-mailing me a high-res version ~ I'd love to take a closer look! No problem seeing the bridge. A popular subject for photographers, but I've never seen it from this angle. Kind regards, Chris
