You asked about cropping in this one, George. I just lopped off the L&R sides to concentrate on the display in the middle. There's a bit of fisheye curvature, but I'm learning to manage that so it doesn't dominate. It's a great lens. Next week I'm getting a true circular fisheye and will be using it to stitch immersive (360 x 180-degree)panoramas. That's as wide as you can get...

.....you're right, the lavender light of my Jetty pic only lasted a few minutes at most and was constantly changing. I liked it in B&W, but the color was just too good to pass up;>)

Cheers again. Craig

Hi Roger; its been awhile as I haven't been very active on UF for quite awhile. A cool shot-- lots of color and good composition-- also lots of interesting depth. I like your "slice of life" shots of Japan.

Yes, I do like the E300, nearly as much as the pro oriented E-1. The E-1 is faster, weather proofed, and built like a tank, but the E300 has it's own virtues including the 8MP sensor and it handles nearly as well as the E-1 (thanks for asking). Cheers. Craig

Roger, I really enjoy these type of photographs. Browsing through these little shops is one of my greatest pleasures when I visit Japan. The profusion of so much color in such a small space always amazes me. Did you have to crop in tight for this photo? It just doesn't have the "fish-eye" look to it.

Sesame Street meets Pokemon and anime?! Interesting view into life in Tokyo. Very colorful too.

The fisheye angle has given a very interesting and funky atmosphere to the stall.

Love it.
You have filled the very wide angle frame.
Great work

Thank you as always for your unfailing comments, Chris, often accounting for 50% or even 100% of all I get! I hope to get back into commenting more myself over the next few weeks... I usually enjoy your own beautiful photographs, which remind me what a wonderful part of England I lived and holidayed in! Actually the Japanese kids look really cute in these funny masks... (Many of them are of characters in the Japanese cartoons.)
