This is definately one way to decorate a garden. The way your composition is, it makees my eyes climb up and/or down the rocks that have the Gnomes on each side. I do enjoy this tour of Japan.

Dear Roger, I have a similar shot and many, many with one or two together; I like these statues and I would like to know more about their meaning, what they represent, but....no material in English about the neighbouring shrine (Izuna Jinja). Nothing on the Internet either.
