You just know the perfect words to go with the image.
Superb use of shadows and light and subject placement to create a mood. A tighter crop and it would have been just another portrait. With this cropping and the shadows above her - the image elicits empathy and emotion. Very impressive work, Judi.

Thanks Ameed. She seemed to be sitting there in her own world, oblivious to anyone else. So I felt a large expanse of dark area around her would draw out her feelings into the camera.
