About Just before the haze hit. You can see the large brown haze cloud on the horizon. Twenty minutes later the sunset and the sun was completely gone, hidden behind it all. Just before it came across birds came from everywhere as if fleeing the scene. But during the main part of the haze I watched as a few lost birds were flown backwards.

Alastair, Australia has had some dramatic weather over the last week. Snow, flooding, dust storms covering half the state, etc. This was part of it.

Excellent shot Judi! Sorry not to have commented earlier in the week but its been so busy here the photography has taken a definite backseat (got to earn a crust after all). I thought the air in Aust was lovely and clean ;-)? Brown haze? A dust storm? Great image and beautiful colours..

Una gran bella immagine, controluce perfetto, controllato a meraviglia, la chhicca sono i due gabbiani sulla destra in alto, danno quel qualcosa in più a una foto già buona per se stessa!

Thanks Mark. I wish I could take the credit for this, but I can't. It was nature putting on the show. I just stood there and photographed it as I saw it.
