Wow... a lot of comments already on this one, and deservedly so! A great capture, very well timed. Just a few blown highlights, but that can be over-emphasized and in this picture I don't think it is a problem at all.

Thanks for the comment Fabio, I think the Canon 100-400 Is the best all around tele-zoom you can buy at a relitively decent price, It is sharp through the whole focal range and your not stuck at 400mm like with the 400 prime. remember your camera bodies will change over the years, but your lenses will last a lifetime.....

HI Jim, I have access to many Canon lenes as my brother is a professional sports photographer, I find the 100-400L the best Zoom Tele for the price period. The lens is very sharp throughout its range, and the only other 400's I have seen sharper are the 400mm prime F/4 5500.00
and the 2.8, too expensive to mention, the difference in hardly noticable, and its a mere 1500.00 dollars....
