About The facade of the St. Boniface Cathedral in Winnipeg. Only the shell is left after burning down years ago, and the new structure was built inside.
The cemetary here is the burial place of Louis Riel, the founder of the Province of Manitoba, who was hanged as a traitor after the Northwest Rebellion, but is becoming honoured as a hero in recent years.

I really like how you made the facade dark so the sky and that window hole become the brightest elements. Very interesting and dynamic composition.

You captured this Cathedral at a very daring angle, which makes it all the more interesting, Dave.
Thank you for your very friendly comment on my "Bottles behind bars 2"
Best regards,
Rafi

Thanks for the comment and the tip, Richard! Unfortunately, in this case the timing just wasn't right, and I had to take what I could get! I know, we're always too much in a hurry!
Dave.

Hi Jim, thanks for the comment! I originally took the shot on an angle just for a more interesting perspective than a head on shot.
Dave.

Great capture and interesting composition. Just curious as to why you left the photo crooked. Was there a reason?

Interesting composition.
Why you use ISO 200, shot looks a little noisy?

Quite a departure from the static composition of most photos of churches and buildings, it has a very nice effect. Very nice, Dave.

Wonderful lines and details. This old building had a lot of character. It's such a shame that it's now in ruins.

A nice jaunty tilt for interest. Unlike human faces, buildings usually fare better under direct lighting.

Creative angle on this shot. The colors and details are very good. Sad news about the burning of this lovely building.

I like the angle of this image. Makes it stand out from the rest. The harsh lines and the smooth curves of the window are excellent together. Well done.
