Thanks for your interest and comment Jon. I am starting to come to grips with the D70 and so far I am enjoying the experience. I graduated from a Canon G3 and the larger sensor and the using better lenses certainly makes a difference.

One of my favourite things about the D70 (so far!) is the brilliantly natural colours. This is a fine example of that ability and a beautiful composition.
Underviewed and underrated, as are most of your images, John.

Hello John, i'm surprised that this has (up to now) received so little attention. That may be due to the fact that on the thumbnail it doesn't really attract the attention of the viewer? but when you open it WOW!!!
The lighting and exposure is excellent amd the sandbank bathed it light with the reflection is superb. A really peaceful image captured at exactly the right time of day. My compliments abd best wishes - Neil

Another great shot. I like the way the sun has brought out the colour in the sand and the great reflection. Thanks for your help with my photo. I took your advice and re p/s my photo which came up really good. I'm going to have a go with filters now. Thanks a lot and agian nice photo. Greg
