What an amazing flower, I've never seen anything like this. Such excellent clarity. That little Sony does an awesome job. I even like the DoF here, where most of the leaves are pretty well in focus, which I think gives a perfect pallet for this particular flower.

Is that the right name for this flower??? I have some in my garden. I didn't plant them, but they are lovely, so I do not consider them weeds per se.

Excellent! I have several bachelor buttons (aka cornflowers) in the perennial bed. They have not bloomed yet but I am looking forward to trying to imitate this very impressive image.
