I noticed that your style involves adding mood and depth by using grainy textures in your photos. That approach suits this scene very well!

Beautiful work, Rebecca. I often wonder why these old abandoned structures have such an attraction to many of us. Maybe there's a psychoanalyst amongst that can tell us why.:-)))

Very moody shot, Rebecca! It certainly evokes the feeling of abandonment, although not completely neglected, maybe because the cows keep things nicely trimmed (I'm guessing there's cows based on the 'decorations' in the foreground :) Good choice of black and white, and I think you got just enough detail in the shaded side of the old house to show it without loosing the mood. I'm not so sure about the frame, especially since it covers that neat, gnarled tree at far right. Well seen - you've got 'the eye'! :)

Rebecca,
I really like this shot. Excellent composition,
the b\w, and tones are great. This shot gives me the impression of a picture taken long before color film was developed. Wonderful Work!

Thanks Joanna. I occasionally try Extensis, which is in my old version of photoshop home edition. I haven't fully mastered any of it it, for sure, but I love to try.

I really like this image Rebecca - reminds me of the Wizard of Oz! Lovely 'old world' feel about it yet seems so desolate too. High emotional impact. I also love the frame - how did you do this? Thank you so much for your comments re my Pretty in Pink pic too. Cheers, Joanna
