About Today's children, especially in very low economic situations and single parent families..raised on the "wrong side of the tracks"...no self esteem, and many who should have been on this playground, out joining gangs instead.I see many young men and women everyday, who had no childhood. Sad situations.

Yep == As you know I ride my bike everyday (pretty good for a guy pushing 50). The thing I notice more and more everyday is that there are not many kids out there on bikes any more -- when we were young everyone had a bike and we spent hours together or alone exploring (sounds like me today) -- where are all the kids now? I suspect that many kids have either one parent or two working parents and have to spend lots of time alone. Tie this with the dangers out there now and you have a lots of kids that stay home in front of the TV or playing video games. That's no way to grow up. I say get the world of kids back on the bikes and you surely will scare up a lot of fun and good quality growing up...or in the case of this photo back to the playgrounds...but get them with their mates and parents...together time not alone time.

By the way great shot and message....K

Great image Rebecca. Colourful and warped just like the world we live in.

it is really sad.. in few parts in our country we see that too.. kids with very old fathers, absent mothers.. wrong kind of mates..!

I think I like your comment as much as the photo! I think children need parents who spend time, lots of time, quality time and quantity time with them! I took a job much closer to home a year and a half ago just because I felt I was missing my children grow up. I took a large cut in pay and it was worth every penny! Thank you so much for your comments on my pics. I look forward to all your latest additions every time I log on to USEFILM.

It's like I was spinning on this thing too fast and now I'm dizzy and the whole world is wavy. I liked your comment about the warped world. And even in spite of its sinister symbolism, this photo is nice with the motion and the colors.

I purposely distorted it Jimmy..to show what a warped world we're living in. Thanks for commenting. How's it going down home?

Signs of our times. A playground going unused. I remember "taking" my children to a playground that had one of these little merry-go-rounds. Did your wide angle distort the 'push-around' or was it built that way? Great shot anyway because it was the distortion that got my interest.
