About what difference can letter types, language or skin colours make? we all live together side by side in the global village and nobody needs to be afraid of his neighbour.

I would have loved the composition if the line was leading the eye from the bottom right hand corner. If you had just moved to the left to allow this to happen it would have been an excellent shot.

robin, as you know i do this sometimes and i only can say two things, either they don't care at all because they don't understand (this is the normal case) or they react like you indicate. but there must be some little thrill in taking pictures in the street, don't you think so?
thank you for your fine comment, articulate to the point as always.
regards

charlie - this is without doubt a great abstract - i wonder what the people would think if they knew you were chasing their shadows - i've been doing the same recently with embarrassing results..

This is very artful and reminds me a lot of a famous photograph from many years ago. Maybe by Cartier Bresson. Not sure!!
Yes, pretty women carry me away. I am now doing photography liken to that of many contemporary photographers in USA.
Thanks
Chuck

carlos, thank you for your nice comment. i am curious as well, as we have to be as photographers. but the real reason is that i don't feel good if too many people in this community seem to have a problem giving their proper name and location let alone some items of their biography. i think it is a question of open encounter, honesty and respect to introduce oneself. don't we expect to do that personally in the first place?
un abrazo

katia, you might be so right and still, a well known jewish writer of our days keeps saying: the one, who does not belive in miracles is no realist. i strongly believe likewise!

to all, thank you very much for your very positive and appreciating comments!

In this global village I would have some problems to understand what is written on the floor... and I would be even a bit more pessimist about the neighbours!
fantastic shadows anyway.
