Handheld so not sharp, this image has nothing with sharp focus, not the lettering, not the letterbox. I like the idea, but you needed to have a steady hand or lean against something, or better still try a carry a mini tripod.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought "What? A letterbox with a bilingual address"?
Well, now I know why.
Interesting and pretty singular object, Charlie.
Very nice shot

jamie, frankly speaking, i don't know. if you had seen the doorway where this one was together with i-don't-know-how-many-others you wouldn't have been surprised. i couldn't find out how many entrances, stairs and living quarters there were. not to talk of the installation, bundles of telephone cables, etc, etc. the solution might be in the chinese which i cannot read *:)* or it's the habit in macao, who knows?
thank you for your nice comment.
regards

A mailbox? Interesting, I'm surprised to see the whole address written on it, especially in two languages. Now what are the holes for I wonder.

chére marie, this letterbox was taken in macau, the colony which the portuguese desperately wanted to hand back to china for a long time. only the chinese found it comfortable to use that porthole controlled by the portuguese for their own business.and if you ever go there, don't miss a visit to one of the gambling casinos. you will surely never before have seen a gambling craze like the hongkong chinese live there!

thank you and breda for your positive reactions.
besos
