About Wish I could say there was a grand design at work here, but there wasn't. Basically, it's an effort to combine some contrasting imagery into a somewhat cohesive tableau. The theme is the loss of innocence and the three images were composited with the usual techniques -- mainly blending modes including overlay and lighten. Somewhere, Meat Loaf is singing in the background. Comments appreciated.

I can't find the words......

(wipes eyes)

I like it not cropped..makes the model stand apart... keeping all the elements in perspective.

Wow... very creative mix of elements with great pockets of light! You've created a wonderful fantasy here. This looks like it took quite a lot of work!! And.... I'm not hearing Meat Loaf (eeek), I'm hearing Annie Lennox singing "Sweet dreams are made of this..." And "tableau" is one of them thar 50-cent words, Jim. :-)

Which tune of Meat Loaf's? For a minute there, I thought I heard Hendrix. Cheers!

Even in 640X640, Jim, you are very good... perhaps better (less compression ?)

This is just splendid Jim, all the elements work together. The blue toning is perfection. I agree with what Andy says.

Have a great vacation! :)

there's a book called the armless maiden that is retellings of fairytales that deal heavily with the dark realities that we live in in our times, this popped into my mind upon happening upon this, beautiful tones and contrast, wonderful composition, the ps work is flawless and the emotional appeal is off the charts.

Interesting and creative. This has about it the mood of fairy tale, yet it is not innocent in the way that children's tales usually are. The snake is evil, the background symbolic of an opening womb. Sexy imagery here in a fantasy setting. Cool.

Fabulous Jim. I love this picture. Some of the effects you have here are what I am looking for in the "idea" that I was telling you about. Grand design or not - its fabulous. Great surreal feel. Wonderful. Will get with you next week.

Excellent stuff, Jim. Can't agree with the comment about the crop ~ that's just plain picky! Great technique and use of imagination! Regards, Chris.

P.S. Not sure about the theology of the title. As a pastor I have to say that when haven calls, that's it! Time to go!!

Where you going Jim??

Powerful image here. The first second I saw it, I knew I wanted to crop. Just seems more alive and powerful to me, tightened up a bit. Well done.
