About It was virtually impossible to take a picture of high rises in Toronto without having a new construction or a crane be in your picture. Walking around I saw how cool this building looked lit up at night so I shot a couple of frames. Somewhat new "experiment" for me, night photography, any feedback is appreciated.

haha, yes I wish I could use one of those cranes as my tripod. That would be pretty cool :)
The stripe of light was what it drew me to photograph this building in the first place, glad to see that caught your attention as well :)
Thank you so much for your kind comments my dear friend.
Big hugs,
Julie.

Hi Julie, Why using a tripod if so many cranes around ? The solid iron construction mostly offers enough support carrying the modest weight of a Nikon and also expect some new exiting POV's.
I like the stripe of light covering the whole composition with plenty of other surprising lines illuminated.
Good work and meet you now more at night time I hope :-)
Kind hugs from Paul

They didn't at all dear Nicki, I actually thought they added so much to this photo since the building is under construction. You're so right, night photography isn't easy but I want to try some more and see what I come up with :)
Now I am going to get ready for work and after that guess what comes? lol :) you know it!!!
Thank you so much for your kind comment my dear Nicki.
Big hug,
Julie.

Hello dear Stan, I like the light as well and that was what it drew me to photograph it.
The settings were 1/6 seconds, 3.8F at 34mm focal lenght, 400 ISO reason why I didn't jump the ISO much higher is because I didn't want noise so since I had a tripod the very slow shutter was safe. Thank you so much for commenting great grandpa :)
Julie.

I like the light as the focus in the center of shot with the bookend effect of the building. The cranes add the extra bit of angles to go with the nice light. How many seconds of exposure did you use? Be well, the great grandpa.

Hi darling, I was almost laying on the floor to get angle without any other building in the middle of it.
Night photography is so different, the need of a
tripod makes me shy away from it...haha I am lazy don't want to carry a tripod around but I had it with me that night so why not use it ;)

Glad you like it my dear friend.
Thank you for your continued support. It is much appreciated!

Big hug and kiss,
Julie.
