What a wonderful capture and natural pose and lighting, you really got the best out of the composition in here.

The scratches and specks and sepia toning are what make this image special and give it a sense of history rather than just being a snapshot. The shallow depth of field is good too, though.

It is true, Nick. Every film has its own characteristics which will vary shoot conidtions while using them, and also the quality of the results. They will have different base tonalities, different grain contents and hence, finished looks.
I took some street shots (again) today, and will share them soon.

I see it, Avi! Its flair is very recognizable though the image does also have some of that kind of "perfection" of the digital era. But it is way not that kind of sterile perfection only for the purpose of "being perfect".
I am trying many different films for the time being, and perhaps I am completely mistaken but I have the impression that each of them has its own character and way to react. They are all good but they are good with different idiosyncracies, quite contrary to that certain wish for "the one and only ideal" that many CCDs seem to be converging to.
But wait until that rewritable film comes out and then you can be glad again! ;-)
Thanks a lot for your wishes for easter - I don't celebrate such things, but still thanks a lot! And you bet I was a good boy on good Friday! Hey, I was drinking to you all out there, and now I need a new bottle! :-D

John, there is no PP in this, except for the sepia tone. This was shot in film, and the scratches and spots are REAL, which came during development. I just used it as-is :)

And what a good thing it was that you find it Avi! I find the toning extraordinarily good! The composition is very nice too - it really concentrates on the main actor - oops, sorry! I meant actress, my lady! ;-) And it adds tension as all foreground is at the left and all the rest is background.
I am stunning about the amount of well captured details under the low light conditions.
