Hi Ray !
Thanks for your comments.. I realise that on my laptop (which is calibrated and has display setting at 1280X800 pixels) those details are very much there, but on other laptop/PC screens with different display settings, they appear dark and detail-less. I will boost up the exposure on this if I print it.. thanks !
As for the name, my name is Avishek, Avi is just a short form of that :)

Excellent lighting. Powerful and dramatic. Great details in what little are availabe. Eyecatching and although I like this very much I just wish you had illuminated one of her eyes. I have come back to this 3 times. I really like the light and the ring shadown leads your eye from the eye down to the cheek which if it wasn't there I'm not sure it would have the same effect. Very nice work.

Low key, at least partially, and still the details are explicitely visible - not suggestively imaginable but explicitely visible, Avo! Which means to me that the subtle differences of greys were perfectly caught and so they were also able to draw details and paint plasticity of the characteristica of the face. Again a bit of black and white halves but this time limited only on the face itself, which does enhance its presence in the middle of strong shadows. Keeping the DoF mainly on the characteristica of the face surely enhanced also the expression itself and stands in good agreement with the tension between light and shadow, as tension between sharp and soft details in the durection of the depth - perpendicularly to the tension gradient if light and shadow.
I find it very well done in all disciplines, and so it can't be any "bad hair day" at all! ;-)

the shadow with is falling at the cheek from continuing from the eye is making a bit negative impact...kind of scary...!!! otherwise its a beautiful shot...very nice use of light and shade...!!!
