Fantastic image Avi. Great choice of lens, excellent lines and DOF. Plus very well presented.

By the way thought I'd let you know I like going to the museum in the comfort of my own home, thanks for taking us all there. I looking forward to the next showing ;)

Oh, I just meant the CCDm, the Charged Coupled Device, the "sensor" of your camera, Avi! It just replaces the film as a sensor to light signals. And I thought that your camera *must* have a very very advanced one if such images are possible!

Just for a suggestiin, perhaps http://www.jyi.org/volumes/volume3/issue1/features/peterson.html would give you more insight than I can do?

Nick

I want to answer you correctly Nick, so I am asking: what do you mean by CCD ?

Nick Karagiaouroglou Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:127263} 4/10/2008
Why should I or anybody else suggest that? You manage to get with a single shot what others need at least 4, if not 5, shots in order to get a similar look, Avi!

Nooo, you definitely don't need that! Only tell us please what kind of CCD you used? It must be a very very good one!!! (For the first time in my photographic life I am in a real temptation for digital!!!)

Cheers!

Nick

Avi  Avi     {K:70138} 4/9/2008
Do you suggest that I try that (HDR) too ? :)

  0

Nick Karagiaouroglou Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:127263} 4/9/2008
Avi, not even RAW^2 would help if the CCD had captured overexposed details, since they are simply not there anymore because light "overpainted" them. (That could have been the case for example on the highlights at the grid of the window.) It must be a good capture first in order for any good format to bring its advantages. And it was indeed a *good* one. So good that I really had (and still have!) the impression of HDR-techniques here.

Cheers!

Nick

Extremely well done composition with such strong leading lines, Avi! And I am amazed, really amazed, to see that they are *all* there even on regions that get easily so overexposed that the leading lines tend to disappear! Excellent balance, that is, in which the huge amount of tiniest details develop their impacting power to the fullest! This I name high definition!

Cheers!
