About I like wide angle stitching, they just take a while.

This is a 10 image stitch of 10 wide angle vertical shots of Mount Sorrow (center) on the Mount Edith Cavell Glacier Loop Trail in Jasper National Park. Angel Glacier is to the left, with Mount Edith Cavell the furthest left peak. Cavell Glacier is just visible in the lower left.

I thought this was going to be quite a boring shot - a lot of dark rock, but the clouds in the sky and the name of the peak kind of makes it work. I think I will post the 360 of the Cavell Glacier Iceberg Pond soon.

Please look at this at the largest size as it is a pano - I have scaled it way down for UF, but hopefully you get a sense of the shot.

Donors get the ability to view full pano.

Hi Mike,

Very nice to see what you've been upto. Your panos have always been impressive, and I do like this one, too. Also, the IR HDR is spotless. Looks like you've had your hands full, too, as this is your latest uploads, dating back to July...

I still have to reply to your email, and I will...

Cheers,

Hugo

JB -

I see you've been around here - I think I'll post the same shot that you took to prove the lake is really that blue.

This IS one of those images that is best seen in full size. Very nice work. You 'could' lighten the face of Sorrow if you wanted to. I think it might look better.

Thanks Jan.

Usually posting other web sites other than usefilm triggers a review. Maybe that is what happened.

Michael -- I tried leaving a complimentary comment and a rating and the OOPS flashed that it would have to be reviewed by a human to make sure it was appropriate. I have no idea what I said that triggered the rejection but I tried giving you a "seven" as well as comment. You might see it, you might not. At least the rating took.
--Best to you, Jan

GD:

Hey, thanks for looking. Sometimes these get passed over because the previews are tiny and can't be made out. I'm glad you enjoyed the image once you spent the time clicking it.

Wow, I like this wide angle stitching too! Great shot, Michael. The clouds really do add some "drama" or mood to the shot. Cheers, Gary
