About A series with Sepia v B&W - Doyle II wouldn't get NEAR the tarantula . . . but his gal did! I thought the presentation could show a wondrous fascination and inherent respect for all creatures . . . something Annemette could surely appreciate! I'm hoping I retained sufficient detail in this image as the size is 48 inches long . . .

~~GRIN~~ Doyle... I says it as I see's it... (wonderful use of the english language LOL)...

Visually, in all aspects, for me this is great... :)

Onie...

ps. I only bite when cornered... and then you can forget the saccharine, sugar, maple syrup whatever it is that keeps me smiling... :)

OK... Now the Q of B&W versus sepia...

~~GRIN~~... This is what I see... Two parts to one story... using the same three photos in reverse which is clever in itself Doyle... :)

The B&W top row is the *cool* beginning... The hello, I'm unsure, getting to know you phase...

The sepia is the *warm* I like you, everything is fine and nice to have met you ending...:)

My spin on what is a very clever visual... But, I like spiders so prejudiced anyway LOL... That's a whopper of a file Doyle... :)

I like as is Sir...:)

Onie...

John:

First . . . the words might have been better chosen . . . I guess. But I couldn't think of a more poetic, succint way to phrase it.

I couldn't choose between Sepia and B&W and thought this way people could see both and evaluate on their own. I'm not sure at all about this . . . just thought I'd see how the comments ran so don't expect me to convince you of something I myself am unconvinced about! LoL!

Oh! But I might just be able to give you a 'proper' picture. (And you're right about the 'true' pano. I can't stand when you get nothing more than a new window in a 'Pano' view)!

Doyle I <~~~~~

Thanks very much Riny. Dit is een tarantula Riny. Venemous haar en hoektanden. Niet dodelijk een bijt ongewoon. Hij is een huisdier.

It seems to me that the sepia shots look better than the B&W - it's just a matter of taste I guess. But as a whole it has impact and an important message!And..it is "original Chastain"!

Very good composition of these images Doyle, good choise for the B&W and Sepia tones in this collage.
And you're right, lets respect all creatures great and small, wise lesson my friend.
Good detailed pictures.
Take care,

Klaas

I especially like the B & S row of images and the sephia images on the bottom.

Very creative - something I have never seen presented this way before. Very original! 7+!

AJ Miller AJ Miller   {K:49168} 2/15/2007
I do like it when the full pano view is... a FULL pano view.

I've sat and looked at this for quite some time. I'm really not sure what to make of it. On the one hand, I'm thinking it's going way beyond the presentation of a photographic image, on the other hand that can be pleasing in itself.

I find the words grate a bit. I feel they need more zing (but haven't come up with anything better). Maybe a little more drama, or literary spark (alliteration for example).

I'm also not sure of the sepia v B&W. My question is why? I'm not being awkward here, I just don't know and don't feel it adds to the effect. But I'm ready to be convinced otherwise.

I'm probably just a miserable old git at the end of the day, who wants to see a "proper" picture of the spider!

I really don't like spiders, and the creature is pretty big. And indeed they are a little fascinating. Never the less, you have combined a great compostition and I really like it.
