You are collecting quite a lot of well deserved awards lately!
Another beauty that captures the flight of the bird so well. Even though the bird is frozen with no motion blur at all, the photo still makes us feel the thrill of flight. It must be the angle of the wings in combination with the light that makes me see the speed.

Great work again Marcus. I think I've seen some of these hawks in the city recently (I live near the Zoo/Beach) - they get pretty close but I haven't really gotten a good look at them however. Next time I see one, maybe I should try capturing it (photography-wise of course haha).
Also, appreciate your recent comments on my photos, especially the F1 shots - means a lot coming from a skilled panning photographer such as yourself. Thanks again!

Wow, a beautiful view of that elusive red shouldered hawk. We don't have them up north on the prairies but I search for them whenever I travel. What a great photo to help with ID features.

With images like this you keep rising the standards. Perfect pose, clarity and details.
If I am not mistaken, this is your best Red- shouldered Hawk so far. This stuning shot of the elusive RsH is going to be very difficult to match.

Wow! That's incredible, looks like you're shooting in the city! I have the 400 DO and almost always hand hold also but my shots aren't anywhere near as sharp as yours. I've got to practice lots more but I'll keep watching yours and stick with it! Darlene

Thanks Darlene, Yes I am pretty sure every shot in the last with the exception of 1 or 2 are handheld, I wish I could shoot at a place where I could setup my tripod and know there is going to be birds around, but the kind of nature meets progress and development never leaves me in one spot for more then a few minutes.
Here check this out, same bird as above, this is pretty much what we have to deal with out here....
