About This image (5943) was shot in Discovery Park on 30 July 2006.

This is a continuation of my last three posts exploring the abstractness which can be achieved through the luxagraphic techniques I have developed using essentially one subject area (namely the woods in Discovery Park).

This image has been shrunk and resized only (no other PS work).

Questions, comments, and criticisms are why I'm here so let's have 'em.

These pictures are intriguing, James. There is a sense of motion and of the fanciful to them. This one makes me think of a girl standing on a hill enjoying the wind blowing through her long hair.

Thanks, Phil. I appreciate your enthousiasm. I think I am doing something pretty different and it's nice to know I'm not just impressing myself.

Max - I've been thinking I should post that image. It'll take some time to find it; I have boxes of old photos at home.

Max - I stumbled on this way of shooting by accident maybe 15 or 20 years ago. I was trying to shoot a picture of some woods we were driving through and had to set up camera against the window frame to "stabilize" it--the road wasn't very bumpy but the woods were dark and my shutter time was too long for a clean shot. I shot from the window frame thinking it probably wouldn't turn out. When the prints came back I was startled to find it looking so painterly. I was hooked immediately.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by. See you around.

Being an old school photographer, I admire the way you are always experimenting new techniques, I don't know Luxographia, but it seems to be an excellent way to get original and beautiful images. Bye, Max

Thank you, Galal. I am happy with how thin and defined the lines are in this image.

Tuna - All of the white lines (some are pale blue and some pale pink) are the sky. The colors of the sky tend to bleed to white over the long exposure time necessary to get out the deep greens of the leaves. Thanks for asking.

Very nice James! I love the subtle colours. Nice diagonals here. Reminds me more of the wind than water, and I also saw curles of hair:)
well done!
