About CAT D7R and D8R operate in tandem during beach replenishment operations. The D7R easily holds traction at steep appproach angles as it climbs over the temporary berm it helped to create. Just over the hill is the ocean. The pipe in the foreground carried a mixture of sand & seawater into a massive excavation the CATs created earlier, and raised the beach height above high tide by more than 6"
