I usually don't do borders at all unless I want to somehow contain the image (like here), but I do think you have a point - those are pretty hard corners for something as fluid as this.

And I can see why you do. The color is scrumptious. It is great to see you back to this today. Funny thing that I was just yesterday thinking about this style of yours and how I missed it. I grabbed some pics of laser light in smoke on Halloween and it reminded me of your images a bit, though nothing as nice came of it (hand holding a camera outdoors in the dark...lol). I love the shapes, tones and ethereal qualities here.

It is gorgeous. My generally questionable taste in borders would suggest some soft borders to suggest this was in hand made paper.
