Kathleen...

Excellent image. Really great composition. So poetic. Color and textures are fabulous!. To me, this is a perfect photograph. I've been out of town the last week or so and when I got home I see that you've removed your portfolio. What's up? Your work was so good.

thanks James..i wouldn't categorically dis any process or effect--except composites (but even then, there's Joe Nicoud. His work is so much fun i forget i hate composites)--because in the hands of someone with skill, talent and a particular objective (as opposed to just hitting a PS special effect command and voila, a work of art!), i think anything can work. i've had some people say, inverted images, nope..and others say duotones, nope..and others say oversaturation, nope..but isn't it a bit like fashion? You can say, "white shoes in the winter nope" but along comes some gorgeous model with chutzpah and attitude and white boots up to midthigh in February and the rules (and prejudices) go out the window. Thanks for stopping by and leaving some words on my image, James. It is always so great to see you!!! :))) kat~

selective resaturation is a technique i particularly dislike, yet you've made a sensitive picture in which this technique does not overcome the picture itself. i love the delicate bow of the stem, and the whiteness of the wall sets off the flower beautifully.

Good to see you back with a posting, and this is so simple and yet so powerful. Red is a color that can jump right in the face of a viewer, but this one gives warmth to the cold wall.. i like this one a lot and put it in my favs.

Kathleen,

This is just beautiful. I love the graceful curve of the stem with the brilliant splash of red at the top. It seems so forlorn alone against the wall. Fantastic.

Regards,
Anne
