Im surprised theres no comments here Kathleen. this looks suitable for commerical ads work, clear, creatively composed and a quietly powerful image. Nice job. Kenny

Clink is better than bump. Once, a few weeks past, I woke up in the middle of the night. And I knew... no I KNEW my sis (dies 30 years past) was standing right behind me, in the dark.... I ne'er turned around... I didn't want to know for sure... What goes "clink" in the night? Just some very cool assed stuff. Clever use of flipping the image. Soft blue tinge and red/pink overlay.

kathleen...

cool shot. love the colors and the geometry. two suggestions... i'd crop the bottom so there is no driveway showing and i'd also try to shift it a little so that the right side looks to be the same distance away as the left side. neat shot.

Hi, David..i was loathe to crop because i'm so in love with those dark jewel colors and shading transitions..i couldn't bear it!

I'm still getting used to the F100. It has more electronic gizmos than a technology museum. i'm sure i'll learn all the cryptic symbols and the complex choreography of buttons and dials one uses to perform even simple functions like reroll the film or set the aperture. If you have the kind of mind that can use a Casio watch for more than just tell time (i don't), you'll probably love the F100. It's also a total battery hog (you have to learn to use the off-switch between shots) and not too reliable about letting you know when you're getting low. Instead, it gets cranky and sends error messages and refuses to drop the mirror or release the shutter. My first reaction when this happened in the field was abject terror but then i thought..hmm..maybe the batteries are low and bingo, she was purring again..Or else it will show a full power level one shot and the next you're empty. BUT, it's a very substantial camera, feels great in the hand, has a wonderful AF system and i'm getting very attached to it. (Now, if i could just remember how many times i have to push buttons A and B just to open the camera back ))..thanks..kat~

Beautiful - it helps to have the dark, nearly colorless things around... You are making me put slide film on my photo to-do list.

kathleen...

what a beautiful shot. i just love the textures and the color. i think i'd crop just a tad off the top and the right. just me. have you tried shooting velvia? great slide film with lots of punch. should be cool for the great colors down in CR. F100 sure is a geat camera. been thinking of trading one of my cameras in for one. just thinking about it.
