I liked the four ropes coming down from the prow of this fine fishing vessel, all four disapearing off the photo. The prow of the ship is also quite a strong line IMO. It was a misty day down at Hout bay harbour, hence the sky is not actually sky but the fog bank. Not sure where that grain came from, checking the negative I cannot see any so I assume it was the scanning in process (I did not alter any curves in PS so it cannot be that either.) I have cloned out some distracting boats in the background which were coming through the mist, nothing major though.
Great shot, Paul! I really enjoyed the geometry in this picture, made more prominent by keeping it B&W. The mist shrouded boat and dock in the background adds nicely to the mood, also. Keep it up!
