Neat shot, Darlene! I like the simplicity of the composition yet there's lots of details. The colorful foreground is lighted in such a way that it stands out well against the darker B/W background.

I can see why it might be called that. However, I do not know if that is its name or not. It is quite lovely whatever it is. Mary

Very beautiful, I love the color and the way the the lighting hits the golden plant and the contrast of the misty look behind. Alison

So eerie! interesting foreground blurrs and background light, a scene well set. Bayou deserves some treatments for its details like this.

Sounds like it could be Darlene. It reminds me of so many medievel / fantasy paintings or movies, where you always see some maiden or fairy queen wearing something like this in their hair. Probably seen a few images using this kind of stuff on this site :) Andre

I have heard it called bridal breath. When it's in full bloom the tiny white flowers abound the fine intertwining vine like stems. It's when it's covered in those delicate white flowers brides often use it for trim in their hair and bridal bouquets. You've captured the last remaining season of this one with such wonderful clarity and detail. A very good shot indeed.
Cheers - Ann :)
