First of all thank you for your kind regards. And you are right about your photo. If you crop the sun out of the picture it would be nice. And for example if there was a tree around there and you could hide the sun behind it so it would be a very fantastic silhouette with this dramatic sky. Nice to meet you Addison. Let us see your other works. My best regards ozgur

Your images are beautiful. Very artistic.
I have to learn how to shoot into the sun without encountering exposure problems. This photo was one in a sequence of about twenty or so, and I shot the sun rising in about 5 minute intervals, because I was captivated by what was happening to the colors of the sky/clouds/sand, and less concerned about what was happening in close proximity to the sun, itself. Maybe I should crop the sun out of the picture! (:O)

Hi again, thanx for your funny answer :) As I have never lived there (I am from Turkey) of course I don't know about the time in Atlanta and Atlantic. :) (It should be a nice place) But if you shoot the sun the timing is important. So it was a morning time ok. But you should have been there earlier. It's over-exposured. By the way if you take a look at my portfolio (like margaret) and express your opinions I'll be glad. c ya

Margaret:
Thanks (and to all) for your kind words. I've seen your work, and know that you rise early (reaping fantastic rewards) on a regular basis.

Ozgur:
Thanks for you input, but, if the sun had appeared to start "going down," I'd have been running as fast as my legs would carry me, north, back toward Atlanta. That's the Atlantic you're looking at, and the sun won't be going down there (at least when viewed from the perspective of the Golden Isles) until Gabriel blows his trumpet, and the faithful are called home.
:)

I do try to convince myself, getting up that early is worth it, this should encourage me when I am next on holiday :) Lovely sunrise Margaret

Hi Addison, I'm sorry but this is not a straight photo. First of all it's over exposured. The matter here is timing. You should have waited for some time. Then the sun would have gone down a little more and your photo would be more dramatic and well posed. If it was a sunrise you were late :)Maybe next time. Best regards...
