This is a much beloved and very very talented young couple from our church. He is taking a position as an assistant pastor in a church about 300 miles away. They are wonderful singers among many other talents. Tonight was their last night at church, a very touching and emotional time. I put this collage together. I'll mat and frame it tommorow and give it to them. They'll be back, but as most everyone eventually learns. . . really you can never go home again.
I used Microsoft Digital Imaging Suite 10. The 2006 version is out now. It retails for about $60 and usually there's about a $20 rebate on it. I didn't have (don't have) six or seven hundred bucks for Photoshop and this software really does a good job for me. I can adjust curves and work with layers. It has very nice selection tools: edge finding, selection by color, etc., sharpening, all sorts of filters and effects. To me it's a very nice package.
I gave them a copy and his mom & dad, and two of his aunts. His mom especially treasures her's. It turned out really good.
