Nice details, welcome to the 6 megapixel SLR world. Having a massive CCD sure helps.
However, all the gear in the world won't make a great shot like this - clearly a lot of work and practice pays off.

This is very nice David, I agree with you on the wing feather detail with hummingbirds, and have only posted perched ones once or twice due to that. I have no problem freezing the wings at f/1500 but then I cant stop down the app enoough to get that detail you are speaking of. never the less a brillant shot.....

Even more incredible hummer shots from you! I just found your portfolio- and I am so impressed! Your eye is just wonderful- and I am really amazed by your hummer shots. I try... but haven't gotten one I really like enough to post yet. Also, I am very impressed by your bio- congrats on the "BIG" switch-over to Christ! So glad to have you in the family!

Thank you very much for your comments Susie. Very nice portfolio you have. Proverbs 3:5-6, WOW! one of the first scriptures I memorized after having my eyes opened. I think the first was Romans 8:28. . . very powerful.
