I've been taking pictures now for only about 5 1/2 months. Uploading photos from the past few months, has really impressed upon me the incredible times I have had and wonderful things I've seen in this short time. Early this spring a friend of mine called me at work and told me that his wife and father-in-law were out cutting wood and running a log splitter in his woodlot and there was a tom and hen turkey hanging around. Earlier in the morning a flock of 20-30 turkeys had been across the road and these two had split off from the main flock. They ended up staying there all day. I went over to his place after I got off work that afternoon and they were still there. I think I took some 50 photos of them. They waited till I got there to consumate their romance. This isn't with some fancy telephoto lens. This isn't even cropped. One of my biggest problems that afternoon was staying far enough away from the hen. I think she had a crush on me. She kept following me and I had to keep scooting backwards on my knees to stay far enough away from her to shoot. Anyway another amazing time with the camera. I'll post some more shots in the coming days.
