About Nominally "homeless" this man has created an amazing home for himself under the bridge. He keeps cats--and chickens--and even has a small elecric generator for his TV and Hi-Fi.

Mary, I have a photo showing the house under the bidge and its relationship to the bridge itself. Not one I'd want to post or add to my portfolio, but if you'd like to see it I'll post it attached to a comment here...

He is very creative--very adaptive. Great shot.

Yes, Lea, I asked him if he minded. He said "no" but was careful to keep his back turned. So I respected that...

Roger,

I hope that he will allow you to photograph him as you described. It would serve as a documentary of someone quite determined and clever.

I'm more impressed with the ephemeral nature of his life. Even though he has put time and creativity into his home, a good strong wind or an exacting city official could make it disappear in mere minutes.

Recording it somehow reveals his dignity.

This is amazing...the man obviously is not stupid...it makes you wonder why he chooses to live this way...
Did he know you were photographing him?

Mary Sue, I was disturbed to see a "Move or else" official notice put up there last September, but he hasn't been evicted yet. Next time, if he will agree, I'd like to take one of him standing alongside his creation, in portrait mode, with more of the amazing detail visible.

This is amazing. I'm surprised that he hasn't been moved along to someplace else. He seems very resourceful!!

You did a nice job incorporating the lines of the stairs as a key element of the image.
