Photo taken of final rays of the sun an hour before sunset across bamboo wall from inside the kitchen of the Dzay Minority family where we spent the overnight stay in Ta Van Tribe, about 15 km South East of Sa Pa Town.
Arriving Sa Pa the second time with more time to spend with minority people, we discovered that Dzay people are the most organized one among local ethnic minorities: they well dress, have clean and clear home with furniture, separated kitchen. And they pay more attention on sending kids to school rather then letting them to wander after tourists as vendors. When I mentioned that their names sound a root from China, they agreed.
Kitchen is the picture all of us must see every day, every where. It's the invisible cord that ties the family. The only difference is the shape of the kitchen varying from country to country. By quoting them here, I?d like to reserve this picture especially for these both TE friends.
*About the cropping: I was doing some "portrait pictures" at the moment for the poultry in the backyard. When stepping in the living room, I saw the girl was cooking behind the kitchen door. Knowing that minority people is shy in front of the lens, I quickly shot and shot and shot, 3 exposures at same settings and same position (just in case). As a result, the 50mm fix-lens on my digital camera at its 80mm range has cropped a lot of details around the kitchen. Please forgive for this "accidental" cropping... and let me know if the current posting is OK. Thanks.
An amazing shot ngythanh!!! two light sources: the rays coming from outside, and the one coming from the fire, a perfect combination of lights. very well done! :) 7+
